I was raised in a small town in rural Ohio. My home was rich with art and music thanks to my father, Francisco "Frank" Manuel Delgado. Sadly, he passed away in 2018. He was a musician and artist to name only a few of his many talents. Music and art permeated our lives. My two sons, now grown, have also inherited some of my father's artistic talent. Both are serving in the military. I am so proud of these young men. Today, home is a little peaceful farm out in the country where I live with my wonderful husband, our horses, dogs and cats, where we make our own maple syrup and apple cider, and where I can always find peace, joy and love. I am blessed beyond measure.
I use many different mediums for my art. I love the bold colors and textures that I can create with acrylics. I often tackle unique pieces such as rain barrels and barn quilts but also enjoy painting on canvases and drawing.
I find my joy and inspiration in the peaceful natural setting around me. I love to paint florals with bold colors, capture the rough grains and warm tones of wood or the beautiful cool textures of stone and bricks.
